Boat Graphics

June 09, 2016

Summer is almost here and it’s time to start thinking about getting out on the water.  Truly, one of life’s pleasures is taking the boat out on the water and enjoying all that Seattle and the Pacific Northwest has to offer.  Seattle is known as the recreational boating capital of the nation.  Join in the fun and check out some of our resources for boating in our great city.

Boat graphics – whether it be boat lettering, registration number, hailing ports, boat stripping or boat decals – we’ve got it all.

The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife site  is a great resource for fishing or crabbing in or around the Puget Sound.  Find details about this year’s salmon season or learn more about the “free fishing weekend”, this weekend, June 11-12 (the only time fishing licenses are not required to fish in Washington).

Need a refresher on the rules and regulations of boating in Seattle?  Check out the Seattle Parks and Recreation site  for all the details including the rules around vessel numbering.  All Personal Watercraft must have registration numbers, in contrasting colors, displayed on both sides of the forward section of the hull. (A yearly decal must be displayed in conjunction with the numbers).

Are you a Huskies fan?  Check out a huskies event from the water!  Boat-side seating is premium.  Just sit back, enjoy the game, in the comfort of your own vessel.

From its earliest days Seattle has celebrated important occasions with water festivities. The Seattle Yacht Club celebrates various water activities  on Opening Day, the official opening of Seattle's boating season every spring.  Festivities include crew races, sailboat races, and, of course, the grand Opening Day boat parade.

The pinnacle or the boating season is Seattle Seafair event, which officially kicks off this year on June 15th.  Since 1950, nothing has been more synonymous with summer in Seattle than Seafair. The annual festival spans ten weeks and touches more than two million people through 75 sanctioned events. Now in its 67th year, Seafair connects and celebrates the community spirit, offers affordable fun and cultural traditions that shape our community – from the top-notch festivals, not to mention the amazing hydroplane races.

Don’t have a boat?  Don’t worry!  Rent a boat, buy a boat or take a sailing class at the Center for Wooden BoatsPick up an oar and go for a row. Enroll in a workshop and open your mind to the skills and experiences enjoyed by mariners throughout the centuries. Pick up a tool and caulk a seam or fasten a plank. You’re bound to find something that catches your attention when you’re on the docks or in one of the Center for Wooden Boats vessels.  Reconnecting with the physical world and preserving traditions and skills that have survived through the ages.

We are huge fans of Seattle’s most beloved maritime pastime – boating.  Contact us for any of your boat graphic needs!
