Signage Tips for Any Event

January 31, 2017

No matter the type of event you are planning – a business conference, trade show or convention – it is crucial to make it as easy as possible for attendees to find what they are looking for.  What can you include to ensure your event runs smoothly? We have created a helpful checklist of the best signs to have at any kind of large-scale event. It is better to be over-prepared from the start, so plan to incorporate as much significant signage.

Safety

Designed to keep all attendees organized and secure throughout the course of the event.

Restroom Signs: These highly recognizable signs will help attendees locate a restroom without having to ask.

Parking Signs: Particularly helpful in unfamiliar locations, these signs help direct vehicles and prevent confusion and potential incidents.

ADA Signs: Required by federal law, ensuring you have these signs in place will keep your event safe for each person in attendance and also keep it in accordance with the law.

Directional

Designed to help attendees move throughout your event efficiently and avoid confusion.

Digital Kiosks: An updated take on the handheld map, having these interactive guides strategically placed around your event can provide attendees with a more detailed directory.

Directional Signage: Make these signs large and clearly visible to provide attendees a quick reference.

General Information

Designed to present a professional and exciting presentation to the event audience

Video Wall: These types of graphics can really catch the attention of attendees, allowing you to provide important information in a creative way.

Podium Graphics: An event staple, a podium can be given a creative makeover with easy-to-install (and remove, if you’re renting) graphics such as decals or wraps that present a professional look and an easy way to incorporate branding.

Presentation

Designed to enhance aesthetic presentation as well as create an entertaining event for attendees.

Projection: An advanced display, this digital signage captures the attention of a crowd and can keep them enthralled for a longer period of time than static images. Making a digital sign interactive can create a lasting impression on an attendee.

Digital Posters: This type of signage is helpful because it can provide even more information to the attendee than a traditional paper poster. You can set it up so that the information transitions periodically.

Although this isn’t necessarily a comprehensive list of signs you can use at an event, it is a great place to start. Ensure that your next event is ultimately safe, memorable, effective, and efficient every attendee. Need help with your signage for events?
